Ok, So I am finally getting around to blogging about our trip to Mexico. It was fabulous. We left the kids with my mom, who had my sister there for a few days and then my brother at the end of the week. We spent the first day in San Diego. Our flight got in at 7:20 am, so we decided to rent a car on a whim and drive around. We went to the beach and ate brunch, walked around and I decided I could never live in California.
We got on the boat after returning the car and enjoyed sailing out as the sunset. It was beautiful. We got sat with the only 2 other couples on the boat under the age of 50 not traveling with their parents. They were really funny and we had a great time eating with them every night and then usually hanging out and chatting in the evening.
In Puerto Vallerta we did a zipline expedition that was really fun. If you ever get the chance, definitely worth the money. We also did some shopping there, and I picked up a killer ring. It is beautiful (happy 10 year anniversary/birthday/valentine's day to me!).
Mazatlan was pretty gross. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. We did have some of the best shrimp I have ever tasted though!
Cabo San Lucas was great. It was ridiculously modernized and we ate at a great resteraunt and walked around and looked at shops. We bought the kids little souveniers, including real sombreros (the tacky kind). I love this picture of Andy in his. It reminds me of a picture of my little sister Natalie in a huge sombrero on her birthday.
We had a great time on our trip. It was relaxing and fun. Andy took about a week to adjust after we got home. We are definitely doing this more often. Anyone else want to come?
