Ashley's Mean Guys

So My Little Ashley has a thing for mean guys. There is just no getting around it. She recently developed a love for the whole Disney princess thing, much to my chagrin. I've never really liked the whole little girl fascination with the Disney princess...its the liberated feminist side of me. However, we are in the throws of passion for all things princess.



My one consolation has been that more then anything, Ashley likes the mean guys (or mean ladies). She will tell me all about them and even knows their names. We fast forward through most of the movies until there is a mean guy part.

You would think that they would scare her...but no. She loves to watch the wicked queen turn into the old hag. She goes into great detail about what happens to her hands and how she makes yucky apples.

She loves Jafar, one of her favorites. She likes his "mean birdie" and when he turns into a snake.

She never ceases to amaze me with what a strange and funny little girl she is. I hope this doesn't mean she will have a thing for bad boys when she gets older. Yikes!

Her hands down favorite is Maleficent, Mistress of all Evil. She loves her mean birdie and when she turns into a dragon. Not even a little scared! This was the first mean lady to capture her imagination.

Her latest favorite is Horace and Jasper from 101 Dalmations. There is a line where Jasper says, "...not even for a cup of tea". Ashley says it all the time, but says, "not even for a cup of tape". No amount of convincing will persuade her that it's not tape. Oh well.
